Reason #1: The Interview - 10/31/25
I was introduced to George Chachanidze’s “The Reason” blog series by my close friend, who has also written blog posts inspired by it. I highly recommend giving both a read! For now, I’d also like to throw my hat in the ring. It’s been a very hard time for me and I'm hoping thinking positively might help.
To start things off: after a multi-month stretch of unemployment, I’ve had tremendous luck in terms of job interviews lately! Sure, they’ve all been for seasonal and/or part-time jobs. But these are all better than the abject nothing I’ve been getting since July. Thank God for the holidays I guess.
Of special note, my interview as a seasonal bookseller for Barnes and Noble went off without a hitch! After some easy paper work, I will officially have the retail job that I’ve wanted most of all. Selling books to people (for approximately 3 months)!
In my wildest most beautiful dreams, I go into work and they love me and want me to work at Barnes and Noble forever. In my normal achievable dreams, I go into work and I do a good job and I can leave with having “bookseller” on my resume, a step in the right direction for someone who wants to go into pub. Either way, this new development and the promise of some cash is making me feel motivated!
I didn’t have any Halloween plans this year because I have just been too sad and stressed to make them. But I did watch the beginning of WayneradioTV’s Faxoween stream, which made me laugh! And I played Vampire Survivors for a few hours – this is noteworthy because my best friend was kind enough to gift me every single piece of Vampire Survivors paid DLC, which is such a huge amount of content that I barely touched all of it. If you’re reading this: I love you so much and I can’t wait to play co-op together!!!!!
